My friend Kate wanted family pictures so we went out to Memory Grove to get some for her. In honor of his birthday, I figured I’d post their pictures! We had a great time and even laughed despite the cold. Enjoy!

My friend Nancy was excited to have some pictures of her nephew who would be serving in the L.A, California Mission. So a week before he was set to leave we headed out for some pictures. He’s such a sweet young man! He had me laughing the entire time. He was excited to have received his Lakers hat that he wanted a picture of it. He loves to cook and watch sports. He’s got such a sweet smile and was ready to put everything on hold to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We had the sunshine to help warm us up during the session. So we got a nice mixture of snow and warmth. Enjoy! See you in 2 years Elder Cisneros.

I can never get enough of family sessions! My favorite thing about this family was their Spring colors! It was a pretty chilly day, but you wouldn’t know it by the smiles on their faces. We enjoyed walking around and taking pictures. These kids definitely showed some sibling love! I LOVED it! I am glad that my friend Amy asked me to their family pictures. It is such a great way to start off the year for them with a new family portrait. Enjoy!

These two got married at the Oquirrh Mountain Temple on 11/11/11!! I love the date, and as you can expect it, it was pretty popular. It was quite windy and cold during their pictures. Don’t let those smiles fool you it was incredibly cold. Luckily they were cuddling so close together trying to keep each other warm and they did until they couldn’t stand the cold any longer.  They are so sweet and in LOVE!! I kept hearing the groom whisper to others how beautiful she was and other sweet thing throughout the whole day. It was such a busy day trying to get everything ready, in the end I think it all worked out and we made it work.  She played the piano for him, they danced, and let everything else around them become a blur! It was all so wonderful, and I was lucky enough to be there to photograph it all.

A little bit of everything with the Pead Family

I get to photograph some pretty cute families! Check out this family who was all smiles. The entire time I edited these pictures I was giddy with excitement!! Especially this cute little girl!! Isn’t she just so adorable you want to pick her up!!

I loved this shoot, but to be honest it wasn’t as I expected. We had actually booked the Thursday before for their pictures at Wheeler Farm. I am so embarrassed to say that when I got there, I had forgotten my camera!! In the excitement of “not forgetting” I forgot the most important thing! This has got to be the most embarrassing thing that can happen as a photographer. I felt even worse because my friends were visiting from Germany. During the fall season you are rushing against the light and so by the time we would’ve gotten back to get my camera we would’ve lost the majority of time for light.

Now why am I posting this…. Well I made a mistake and am not perfect. It happened and I will be sure to  NEVER forget my camera again! Lesson learned.  It’s one of those things that happens and you know that you never want to have happen again. So yup I stood there ashamed and on the verge of tears. Luckily I have some nice friends and we quickly figured out a way to reschedule. I tormented myself all weekend until the day of the shoot. Why? Because the pictures from their session would’ve looked NOTHING like the ones we got above!! So in the end when all was said and done, I am so happy I forgot my camera! I am so happy that we got to shoot at a different location and get these awesome shots! I also got to find a new location to shoot at Smile

We got to do a little bit of everything during this shoot. We got some family pictures and pictures of mom/dad. We got to do some daughter/daddy pictures of them in his uniform. My friend made that little diaper cover, onsie, and flower! So cute! And her pictures in her blessing dress are to die for! She is actually wearing her mother’s baby blessing dress. It made the dress even more special to the family. Enjoy!
